Shampooing your hair once every two or three days will help you achieve healthier hair. There is no need to shampoo your hair everyday. Using shampoo on your hair everyday makes your hair lose essential oils and leaves your hair and scalp dry, even if the shampoo is specifically for oily or extra oily hair.

Because many people with oily hair use shampoo they generally suggest others to do the same. This is not the proper solution for oily hair. You should, however, wash your hair with water everyday. And remember - Never Comb Wet Hair - Hair is easily damaged when wet and you should never brush or comb your hair when wet. You should keep your hands away from you hair and avoid covering your hair with a cap, helmet or anything else for that matter when hair is wet.
